Rituals
Rituals once gave our ancestors stability and orientation. Whether it was the position of the sun and moon or monthly, weekly or daily tasks. Our ancestors lived in the cycle of nature. They celebrated annual festivals and festivals in honour of Mother Earth. Everyday tasks such as washing clothes, cleaning, baking and sowing followed a rhythm and were synchronised with the lunar calendar.
On La Zarcita, the sun, moon and weather determine our everyday lives. As we live largely self-sufficiently, our actions are mainly determined by the weather.
We celebrate annual festivals by becoming aware of the theme of the respective festival, discussing it and realising it according to the energy of the group. We cordially invite you to join us, dates can be found in the "News" section.
Our bread is still baked the old-fashioned way using sourdough and ancient grains. We make sure that the dough is left to rise for a long time so that the bread is more digestible and we still knead the dough by hand. This takes a little time so that more detailed information can be exchanged during the process and what has been seen and learnt can be retained more easily.
It is also possible to enjoy guided meditations at full or new moon as well as relaxed fire rituals, where we sit cosily around the campfire and burn incense with herbs from our own garden. If you are interested, you can of course also try your hand at drumming or simply listen quietly and let yourself be carried away by the meditative sounds.
Dates are published under "News". If you would like to bake bread or enjoy a meditation outside of the programme, please use the contact form to find a suitable date.
